Mansi and Maria have once again hit the road to spread the specialty coffee gospel and reach out to members across the country. This time, their travels took them to New York to exhibit at CoffeeFest and participate in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Barista Competition (hosted by SCAA!).
Along the way, the girls made sure to pop in and say hello to some of our East Coast members and of course, sample some amazing espresso shots and cappuccinos. One stop was at Gorilla Coffee (pictured above and to the left) at 97 fifth avenue in Brooklyn.
Next up was Cafe Grumpy (located in both NY & Brooklyn) where Maria and Mansi did their best to look the part outside the cafe. Grumpy or not when going in to the shop, it is undeniably difficult to keep a sour face when sampling beautiful lattes like the one they captured in the photo below.

Another stop on their East Coast tour was the Urnex brew bar and lab (Urnex is the official cleaning product of the World Barista Championship 2009-2011) where they discussed proper cleaning techniques on a variety of coffee machines.
Mansi and Maria will be back home in Long Beach, CA soon but could be coming to a town near you soon!
