According to our recently released quarterly sector report, covering themes and trends within the Specialty Coffeehouse Industry, sales are improving and are expected to continue in a positive direction throughout 2010. In addition to monitoring top-line performance indicators, this report revealed some other interesting data around March year-over-year sales trends, traffic and check average patterns, and price expectations for dairy, food, and coffee.
The report falls under one of our strategic themes at SCAA, which is to compile and communicate information, helping our members plan and prepare for success with legitimate data on overall market size, channel performance, and growth trends. This post shows that the coffee industry is actively moving in a positive direction and it appears that this is set to continue into the near future. This is a great sign for the industry and is a good opportunity for Coffee Franchise companies who will be looking to expand and employ more franchisees who are looking to get into the coffee industry.
