Heads Up On the World Barista Championship

The World Barista Championship (WBC) is the preeminent international coffee competition. The organization, founded by the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe and the Specialty Coffee Association of America, focuses on promoting excellence in coffee, advancing the barista profession, and engaging a worldwide audience with an annual championship event that serves as the culmination of local and regional events around the globe.
The 2011 USBC will take place at the SCAA Expo in Houston, Texas from April 28th to May 1st. The winner will win the chance to compete for he title of World Barista Champion in Bogota, Colombia from June 2nd to the 5th.
