On March 2 & 3, 2012 Square Mile Coffee Roasters will offer two opportunities to participate in the Instructor Development Program (IDP) in London, England. This popular professional development course allows Coffee Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to be students as they learn about applied adult learning concepts in the workplace, including instructional design (based on the ADDIE model developed by the American Society for Training & Development), testing, and presentation skills. Upon completion of the one-day program, students earn the SCAA Lead Instructor Credential and are eligible to volunteer as an Instructor. Many students also report an increase in skills pertaining to training and instructional design in their own companies after completing the IDP.
