The premier products recognition awards brings back the popular People’s Choice “text your vote” for 2013. The Specialty Coffee Association of America’s BEST NEW PRODUCT COMPETITION recognizes new products judged on their quality and value to the specialty coffee and tea industry. The Awards recognize eight categories of excellence and innovation:

Equipment for Origin
Open Class
In 2012, 42 product entries competed for the right to call their product or service the “Best New Product” in the specialty coffee industry. Sixteen products emerged as winners, eight were within the traditional judging platform and eight were voted on by YOU, our attendees, via a text-messaging voting system. Winners are announced on the last day of The Event via the official Event hashtag on Twitter, #SCAA2013. Last year over 3,000 text votes were cast and an enormous amount of enthusiasm was generated from attendees and participating companies. That’s why we’re bringing this option back for 2013, and hope to see even more participation in this exciting and prestigious program.
Want to include your new product or service? Here are some key details and deadlines to note:
- You must be a 2013 SCAA Expo exhibitor to enter
- Entry forms will be available December 1, 2012
- Entry deadline to participate is March 1, 2013
- Texting codes are announced publicly in early April, 2013
- Voting opens April 12, 2013 at 11 a.m.
