The SCAA Event mobile app, developed by the SCAA and proudly sponsored by Bunn, is a native application for smart devices (iPhone, iPad  (new!) and Android) designed to streamline your experience by putting the world’s largest specialty coffee Expo in the palm of your hands. The SCAA Event mobile app brings exhibitors, attendees and sponsors together in a unique collaborative environment using innovative technologies that are both ubiquitous and familiar to most participants.

For attendees, the Event App provides easy-to-use interactive capabilities to enhance their experience by helping them navigate the 750+ show floor booths, organize their daily Expo schedules and discover Boston. In addition:

Access a full Exhibitor list including detailed company contact information and product info—attendees can interactively locate exhibitors they want to visit

Find your way to where you need to be with zoom in maps of major Event areas

The What’s On feature keeps you on schedule with up-to-the-minute info of what’s happening at the show

The Schedule feature helps you organize your class schedules and sync to your device calendar

Go green this year with Digital Documents— download and view Lecture handouts directly from your device

Built-in Social Media Integration allows you to follow and join in on the show conversations—Tweet and update Facebook posts directly from the app!

A comprehensive City Guide feature helps you discover the city of Boston

The app makes it easy to visit SCAA member cafés near the Event with a list of local cafés

For Exhibitors, the 25th Annual SCAA Event mobile app offers a far-reaching way of connecting with attendees and extending their brand in this popular medium. It’s now easier than ever for attendees to find you on the show floor as they can now search for booths by company name or by product or service list. Additionally, attendees will have access to a “My Exhibitors” section where they can mark your booth as one of their destinations to visit and have access to your company information in the palm of their hands.

Technologically Challenged? Look for the App Squad!

The SCAA Event mobile app will be available for download starting March 2013 but if you have any trouble at all figuring out how to download and use the App, we’re here to help. We’ll have a detailed download instruction sheet available on the Event website, as well as our own App Squad on-site to help everyone take advantage of the App features. The App Squad will be hanging out at the SCAA Event Information Booth (near registration) as well as at some of our larger social events. Think you’ve got what it takes to join the Squad? It’s a volunteer position, so be sure to apply if you’re interested (qualifications listed on the volunteer page of scaaevent.org).
